Ultha says: "This show was special for so many reasons and surely among the best five shows we have ever played. So it came as a pleasant surprise, when Jurgen (Burning World Records/Roadburn Records) told us there will be a new sub-branch of his label entitled "Soulcrusher Records", focussing on the release of live recordings from that fest and there‘d be interested in releasing our set. And this is out today! You can pre-order a vinyl version from noon of today via the links below. A tape version, self released by us, is available right now, as well as a digital download on Bandcamp."

These songs were recorded live at Soulcrusher Festival on Saturday, Oct. 22nd 2022. Recorded by Gonny Maas. Mixed and mastered by Andy Rosczyk at Goblin Sound Studio (Cologne). Live images by Marvin Heins and Paul Verhagen. Released by Soulcrusher Records 2023. Song 1 originally appears on the “Floors Of Heaven” (EP), songs 2-5 are part of “All That Has Never Been True”. Both releases have been released by Vendetta Records.

Un serpent qui se mord la queue, symbole de la vie qui retourne à la mort, et au centre, ce cercle comprenant des motifs triangulaires colorés... Wolvennest, formation belge rassemblant des pointures du black metal, lance sa carrière avec ce premier album, VOID. Un peu à la manière de l'iconographie de la fête des morts, WLVNNST habille la Mort de ses plus beaux habits. I like to delve into discographies, and I like to start at random points - basically ramming my shovel into the ground with a self-confident attitude while keeping a straight face. Floors of Heaven shalt mark my descent into Ultha's discography, and it makes for a rocksolid (digging-metaphor pun intended?) start. These are two tracks filled with bleak, dystopian sentiment; a schizophrenic hopelessness manifesto: gelid and slashing on the one hand, grinding and gruelling on the other. Solid! David Fischer
